Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Privacy model

NullPointer is designed to minimize personal data collection. Anonymous users do not need an email address, username, password, or phone number.

2. Anonymous account code handling

When an anonymous account is created, the account code is generated server-side and shown once. The platform stores only a hashed representation and a short non-sensitive hint for identification support.

3. Operational data we may process

For redirect execution, analytics, and abuse prevention, we may process IP address, timestamp, user agent, referrer, country, city, ASN, browser, OS, device type, hosting/proxy/VPN/Tor indicators, and block results.

4. Why we process this data

We use operational telemetry to resolve short links, enforce click/expiry rules, detect abusive traffic, apply IP rules, generate analytics, and maintain service security.

5. MaxMind and IP intelligence inputs

The service may use local MaxMind databases and custom network intelligence datasets to enrich requests with geographic and network-risk context.

6. Admin access

Authorized admins may access site settings, audit logs, traffic logs, blocked-visit records, and related platform management data as part of operating the service.

7. Cookies and sessions

The platform uses session cookies required for authentication, CSRF protection, and application state. These are not intended as advertising trackers.

8. Data retention

Operational logs and records may be retained as needed for analytics, abuse handling, troubleshooting, security monitoring, legal compliance, and service administration.

9. Security

We use hashed sensitive values where practical, server-side validation, session controls, role separation, and request filtering. No system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Policy changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the platform evolves. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
